Cygwin Default directory

When starting a cygen shell on Windows it perhaps, goes to the directory you don’t like. One way of changing that is to set  windows environment variable ‘HOME’ to the directory you like cygen opens when started.

For those who don’t know how to set environment variables in Windows, one way is to:

1. right click on ‘My Computer’ and then select ‘Properties’ from the menu

2.  Select ‘Advanced’ tab in the ‘Systems Properties’ windows

3. In ‘Advanced’ tab section select ‘Environement Variables’ and there create or edit System variable ‘HOME’
